About Michael

I have lived in 40+ homes, in 8 states, on 3 continents.

I was raised as an Army brat in CO, OK, and Germany (3x). I served in the Air Force in northern Japan and in CO. I was a pastor and church planter for 25 years in NE, IN, CO, VA, WA, and OK. I had my own Executive Coaching business, served as a Police Chaplain and then as a Police Officer (not recommended at 50+ years old), and now I am taking all of those experiences into real estate.

I have been married 30+ years to a wonderful, patient woman. We have three grown children and three grandkids.

I love Jesus, my family, the Broncos, lifting, hiking, shooting, and travel. I only have South America and Antarctica left to have been on all 7 continents, and my daughter and I are saving for that trip now. I have visited Petra and ran as part of a small relay team from the Dead Sea to the Red Sea (150 miles in 100 yard sprints), pet a lion in South Africa, taught in a college in Moscow and a leadership conference in India and Sri Lanka, and slept in a castle overnight in Germany.

I serve on a non-profit in southeast Asia that helps kids that have been discarded by giving them an education and a new sense of who they are.

I have had an AMAZING life and have plans to keep adventuring.

Real Estate

I have used a real estate agent to buy and sell houses in: Colorado (Colorado Springs, Pueblo West, Bayfield), Virginia (Chesapeake), Washington (Spokane), and Oklahoma (just outside of Oklahoma City). We have personally bought during a buyer’s market when we could ask for the moon and in a seller’s markets where we had 24 hours to make a bid before the house would have multiple offers on it. We’ve sold when we made a large profit and when it took forever and we didn’t break even. We’ve listed and sold that weekend and listed and had to take our house back off the market for over a year. I have experienced the market in many of its forms and can help you navigate wherever you find yourself right now.

Before real estate, I remember wondering how a real estate agent could possibly be worth the amount I saw on the closing statements. Now that I am in real estate, I understand where a lot of that money actually goes in the process and I make sure to provide my clients with a fair return for what they pay.

Leading in Real Estate

As the Team Leader for our brokerage, I function as the CEO and have the benefit of top-level training from the world’s largest real estate company (120,000+ agents). They literally pay me to learn how to be one of the best agents in the market. This also means I am intimately familiar with the best practices of the 130+ agents in our brokerage. If I don't know the answer, I know someone who does.
